You can bitch and moan about "abuse" this and "obsessively use" that, but who defines what abuse of a word is? Who's to say what overuse of a word is? It's just language developing. It's what separates english from latin.

While I agree that swear words are incredibly versatile, that is in fact what the problem of such words. They have so many meanings that it gives people a sense of security when they don't know how to describe a situation. It shows someone's ignorance out-right when they swear excessively.
