No... I'm saying that if a file is intended to be played a certain way, you should, you know -- play it that way. <_<

You playing a mine-dodging file with mines off is like saying you're going join a 5k and race the runners while riding a bicycle; you're not doing it the way it's supposed to be done. I'm not saying you have to play SM with holds and mines on, I'm saying that you should play the file the way that the simfile artist intended. The choices are in the game because they are an option for you to play the file, but in the game where they were added (ITG), turning them off disqualifies your score. That's a completely different argument altogether.

Tarrik, you're really overreacting here -- no one is chastising your decision for having the file on. In fact, you're actually being somewhat disrespectful towards AlexDest for keeping the file on, when it is in fact his simfile and he wants it removed. I know for a fact that this project was done by multiple people, and not just you -- you might be paying for the engine, but you're not the only one responsible for the files themselves. If you want to ruin something really great that the community enjoys just because of a single disagreement, that truly is your prerogative.

It's necessary to be blunt here, because there's no reason for this to have gone as far as it has.
