I've no shame in admitting my hostility. I was deliberately so. If people have a problem with it, oh well - I guess.

Everyone else has been respectful in communicating disagreements, and I appreciate that. But I'm not going to sit here and continue to be walked over, either. You guys have all been amazing through this process in terms of being patient and working with criticisms.

I don't claim to be this upstanding community figure anymore and have run out of shits to give about my public perception. I'm just trying to help and do a job. That's all that matters to me.
