In the mortal coils branching from the stem of this plane, there exists,
by very definition, an eternal war - a conflict on which reality's 
continuity feeds on. This universe, as long as the agents exist to
perceive it, exists until either perfect order or perfect chaos is
all-permeating...  reigning ubiquitously. At which point, time becomes
irrelevant - as there are only two possible end-results. 

Either order has won, and all things are one thing, all-encompassing and
omnipotent; or else entropy reins - all stars fade, all lives are
extinguished, and nothing is ever perceived again.

Deep in the mesh of order and chaos interwoven, there is a battlefield
masked as a city. At a glance, it is a simple business hub, but under the
buzz of commerce, there is a subtle undertone of zealots thirsting for 
the blood of their enemies. In the shadows, in the most unknown corners,
hide agents of chaos, slicing through the lives of those who would serve
order before they can achieve unity and root out the insidious threat that 
would claim the city for its own.
