I assumed that was him just goofin but maybe it was to throw suspicion on me somehow... if that was his ploy it worked I guess?

"Not sure why you think I'm sus because I'm talking about Subaru being a possible alien, but you're wrong and I think Xiz is a wolf"

There isn't any real investigating here it's just lip service to please the masses.
