no its not quite the same. because i can describe every part of the thought process without restraint and i dont feel bad about doing so. i feel bad because it was taken in a different direction than i expected, simply because i don't want to be the reason my team loses a day, but i don't feel bad about my choices because i understand why i made them when i did.

it's a very new player thing to press on someone for making a bad play and find any minute flaws or problems with them, and ignore the players who are riding easy based off that. you forget that stupidity or dumb plays are not the equivalent of lying or malign intent, and you tunnel those players.

malign intent usually involves lies, and lies that you are uncomfortable with. the nature of that edifice is not communication and a continued willingness to be open but avoiding the lie at all costs and then making it a bigger lie only when necessary. the two paths follow a very different course upon investigation.
