Actually, I can see why it was done this way, now that more people have explained it to me. Seeing as difficulty to AAA was taken into factor with the actual numerical song ratings, it does make a bit more sense that static good/avg/miss/boo counts work the way they do. Just a bit confusing before I figured it all out.
