Tournament Update (Round 6, Update 1):
Week 6, Day 3
FFR Research Center, Sector 6
It's been 40 days, I don't know why I still visit this place every day. It looks rather grotesque, but yet so satisfying at the same time. This entire "tournament" our very own TC_Halogen has made is just an experiment apparently, or at least that's what he told me. AJ and I were merely observers, as we were members of the Division 7 race, the pre-eminent of the civilization of FFR.
Each race who joined this "experiment" has an obstacle course to go through, one obstacle per sector. The exits become more and more tight as the sectors progress and I have to admit... it's been rather painful to watch our fellow comrades from Team Blaze, regardless of race; falling one by one as the sector exits become more and more compact. We originally had 41 of us going through this tournament, now we're down to a measly 9 people. Enough talk about the overall view now though, let's see how our members are fairing in this sector.
Division 4: Really interesting obstacle. It's very confined and very empty. It just has this one special thing about the obstacle; it highly depends on temperature. It's a very complex puzzle with a very simple concept. If you think the room is hot, it's chillingly cold. If you think it's cold, it's extremely hot. There are multiple mini-obstacles in this, all requires different temperatures and all. The first two are the hardest to figure out, but I think our team could handle it. Hope they can handle hailstorms and droughts.
I can't find top anywhere. I'm not sure if he lost his way to this sector, he got too drunk on the way to the next sector or he just didn't care anymore. Wherever he is, I don't want him to disappear in the research center anyway. We had a couple of waifu wars for a while, I don't want to compete with Derek forever, dammit.
As for PaperclipGames, he has a pretty good pace. Although he's the slowest person to figure out the puzzles so far, he's going through the obstacle pretty well. He could definitely make it if he steps it up a little more, just more 4 more puzzles to go. Though, he did skip a step somewhere. Not too sure where though...
D4 Scores: PaperclipGames (4-0-1-0), top (N/A)
Division 2: This is one deceptive obstacle. It looks so relaxed and vibrant, but it's so speedy and filled with rather swingy rhythms. When I saw the design for this obstacle, I really thought that it would be given to the higher divisions, turns out I was wrong. This is probably harsh for most of the remaining players in the round, but who knows. Maybe they'd actually kick it up a notch and push themselves a little more. That's what the experiment is about, anyway.
arcmnx is definitely the outstanding one out of the remaining four comrades. He went through the obstacle in around an hour or so... which is pretty amazing, especially for obstacles this far into the Research Center. Kudos to him, maybe he'd be the last man standing in the last sector. Rooting for you, brah. Micah_ and sayuncle990 following behind. They're doing pretty well, Micah being a couple of delicate steps away, 4 to be exact. Unfortunately for sayuncle, he's pretty far away from the rest of the team.
Garquillex ended with the same dilemma as what our brother Elite Ninja has. The obstacle is designed by our very own experiment organiser himself. It's quite a spectacular sight too, it's crafted similar to one of the obstacles earlier in the sectors, but more complicated and detailed. Also has that classic tribal feel to it as well, it's glorious. It's a race to a finish kind of obstacle apparently, he's getting pretty close to the exit of the tiebreaker.
Eventually he managed to break through the tiebreaker obstacle. Shame that it only lasted for a day though... he still has a long way to go to enter Sector 7, but I have confidence in him.
D2 Scores: arcmnx (AAA), Micah_ (4-0-0-0), sayuncle990 (64-8-1-28), Garquillex (10-2-1-6) (Tiebreaker Score: 6-0-0-3)
At Risk of Elimination/Eliminated This Round: Elite Ninja (D6/Eliminated), top (D4), sayuncle990 (D2), Garquillex (D2)
