oh hey, I wanted to make this thread after wwpl mentioned it but oops
to people posting the harder style of idm, you should definitely look into the lighter stuff. harder styles of idm can even be classified as entirely different genres (flashcore, glitch, breakcore, power electronics, etc).
with that said, here are some of my favorite idm tracks
Clark - Com Touch

Amon Tobin - Kitty Cat (don't let the lyrics fool you, the amount of sound design put into this track (and the album as a whole) is fucking phenomenal)

ps the girl singing... is actually Amon Tobin himself
Richard Devine - Timach
After how abrasive Cautella can be, Timach is a very welcomed change.

Veqtor - Mosaic

Also, Autechre's entire discography.
and now for ambient tracks
Deaf Center - Stone Beacon
Very dark and brooding.

Belong - October Language

36 - Saphron
A bit of a treat, randomly found him on bandcamp and now I own three of his albums, one of which I have on CD and vinyl.

Spectral Mystics - Rebirth
This entire album is awesome.

also spenner, what do you see when you listen to beginningless time from rebirth? I'm interested to know if it's even remotely close to what I personally see
