thanks so much for putting in the kind words, all. this tragedy blindsided everybody. in response to just a couple of posts: I can promise everyone here that none of you should feel even the slightest bit of blame or guilt. we must simply remember what a great guy Steve was and try to share all the joy he gave us with anyone we meet.

this is how I'll always remember him. ...not by gay jokes, I mean. just always being ready to put a smile on someone's face in one second flat.
