Default Re: Dropping out of school..

But if he works for his Dad does it matter if he has the diploma?

Times have changed a bit but my Dad dropped out of HS when he was a senior and got his GED while going to a tech school. And now he's making a six figure salary (and has been for about 20 years).

I just say do what you want because if it's really what you want, you should do it.

If you're happy doing manual labor and think you'll be happy doing it the rest of your life, go for it.

If you've got the slightest hint that you may change your mind later, take your time, don't grow up so fast and try to have some fun in school (even if it is just pissing off teachers and ducking responsibility). Because if you're still living with your parents, you may as well take advantage of it while you can.

On the other hand it feels like I have no room to talk because I'm still in school. But, then again, I'm getting paid to do so and I'm doing what I want to do.
