I wouldn't be able to convert them, but there is no maximum length.
If you have a song that's 20 minutes and really boring, then I really doubt it would make it into the game. The only way a song that long would get into the game would mean it has to be super epic and the steps have to be super epic, and 20 minutes might still be too long.
examples:
bad long songs (imo) : pants, 3/4 of the songs in rock
good long songs : bb evolution, bb revenge (all I can think of)
