Default MIDI sound quality

i created sheet music on Print Music 2002 (i don't know if it matters) as a .MUS with my casio keyboard and its MIDI capability and then i saved it as a .MID. then i made this midi file an mp3 using a free converter Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter from the internet, but now the sounds that i used to make the song, choir aahs, tremolo strings, and drum set, sound very off, even though the notes are the same. is it possibly because Print Music 2002 isnt designed for this, the mp3 converter isnt designed for this, my keyboard isnt designed for this, or is it something totally different?
