First of all, "lolita/goth" isn't a genre. You must be confused; we're talking about music, not clothing.
Second of all, yes, they do listen to it just because it's from Japan, or they wouldn't call it "j-rock". I listen to music from lots of countries, but I don't feel the need to label them by nationality because nationality has absolutely no effect on music (outside of nationality-based genres, but this is irrelevant here). Acting like rock is a completely different genre when it's played by Japanese people is what makes you a weeaboo.
