Yah that sounds pretty cool, too..
But to me, the Note skins are fine with me.. There's nothing really wrong with them and they help you understand which kind of note it is.. I can't imagine FFR with a different kind of note skin to be honest.
Nice idea though, I've heard some people talk about it before.
