I have to agree with rushy here, I dont see the point/addition of using dan? The concept seems as arbitrary as divisions and limits the passage requirements to a few files (courses).

Just a heads up, I can mostly fiddle with the website for now. We need to have the game engine mostly migrated (not the case yet) before I can deal with that. :)

This is the second problem. As it was said a few times, there are a bunch of files which are hard AAAs but easy SDGs, and that breaks the current system.

Not only people will play many files outside their range, but the feeling of progression also dies and I feel like that isnt suitable for a tourney as is.

Indeed a 40% upper bracket cut would lower the rounds to 6 with 63 files needed. Which honestly sounds very reasonable. Nice one there.

I want to point out that the judges would need to be willing to provide actual thorough notes since I believe in rewarding judges too, not only stepartists. Otherwise, we'd miss 50% of the necessary...

I'm mostly only in favor of divisions for the OT because of the content. A divisionless tournament would either have many players play songs way too easy/hard for them or we'd have so many rounds...
