She has no right to be mad. You didn't do anything to have her be angry with you. If anything, she should be happy that you tried to help and alleviate the situation.

The party was okay. Nothing fabulous. My boyfriend is kind of conservative, not to mention the designated driver. There wasn't much drinking to be had...
