No, actually, 40 is the highest. You get 1 credit for every 50,000 points; therefore, to get 40 credits, you need to get 2,000,000 points or more. Songs such as Song for the Nihonjins or MAX Forever...

Yeah, basically screen-cutting shortens the amount of time you have to process the fact that "Oh, wait, a left arrow is coming up" so you have to act more quickly.

The end result is quicker...

But yeah, token difficulties will vary for each person. Took me about 20 minutes to figure out Token 11, whereas Token 1 took me 5 seconds, unlike many people.
