okay here's the math,
perfect = 50
good = 25
avg = 15
miss = 10
boo = 5

with a good you can get a miss, which will be the same as getting an avg and having ur life bar stay the same. ...

well after the new flatkey keyboard (kinda laptop-ish) that came with my vista, my speed's upped dramatically (espiecally left right rolls). but jumping on it sucks... streams at least now i'm up...

i can hit 4 notes with askl and zx23 (my spread config). and it's not about mashing, but the fact that you can slide into a jump like you can slide right-left rolls will make it a big advantage.

well i can do that with spread, just not 1hand config. and i really have to use the arrow keys cuz i hate hitting UD jumps when there's a key under the down key.

according to the ppl at future shop, vista is on the driver disk or w/e and all other drivers on that comp (sound cards w/e) ain't compatible with xp. dunno much bout OS's and hardware so no clue.
