I wouldn't call it chip either. It's what's called chip emulation. Actual chip music comes from, well, an actual chip such as ym2612, Z80, etc.

I was just experimental with the chords for it. the original doesn't use the same at all haha

I found it pretty boring and repetitive. hearing the same chords repeat for 2 minutes with no variation isn't very interesting.

also you need better instrumentation.
