to be fair, thinking vns are mostly trash isnt inherently wrong, since "x genre is mostly trash" is true for pretty much any genre in any medium

any game you can play for 1000s of hours is likely a detriment to your overall happiness as a human being
especially if that game is an mmo or happens to start with "step" and end in "mania"

dude the boss abilities dont mean shit when it takes like 7 shots from the normal buster to kill all the bosses.
99% of enemy placement is done in a way that just suddenly hits you for chip damage...

I think its an amazing game , but it has its flaws, mostly rooted in sticking to conventional and outdated mechanics of older rpgs...
