Suggestion: Allow "Playlist Genre Flags" to ignore locked songs

I really love the playlist genre flags feature - for those unaware, it adds a little color-coded dot next to a song category (difficulty or genre) when you've achieved a given rank for all that category's songs.

Unfortunately, "all that category's songs" includes songs that are locked behind credit purchases or tokens. This leads to awkward situations where (for example) achieving a genre flag on the Easy section requires completing a lot of tokens for drastically harder songs in order to unlock Token Whore, as seen above.

Thus, I'd like it if there were an option to let the genre flags only count songs the player can currently access.

For the sake of bragging-rights screenshots, perhaps a genre flag could appear as a hollow dot if there are songs being ignored for it. The current solid dot could then indicate a genuinely complete genre, even when ignoring locked songs is on.

on a side note, the fact that token whore is the one thing impeding progress on a dot here, is so annoying, because the requirement for the token do not match that for those that would looking to dot the "easy" section where that is still somewhat a challenge, getting a dot on "standard" is probably easier.

Yea I agree with this, its basically a token you will get much later on depending on how fast you improve and it ends up making it look like you haven't finished the Easy stuff yet which is just kinda annoying to me. Glad im not the only one who seen this!

There's been a bit of a discussion around this that's been floated before, I think the closest to action that we've landed was the idea of a dot for completing all the public stuff (i.e. what you're requesting here) and then a star (or similar) for completing everything. I don't know if Velocity had intended to implement it but good to see more inquiries about this!

The true difficulty to unlock Token Whore is around mid d5 although there might be some people with unusual skillsets who can do it earlier.

The other really bad one is OMGWTFT0K3N, which is much harder to unlock than its difficulty would suggest.

Personally, I had all VCs AAAed for a while before I could get the VC dot because I was missing an event token. This was really frustrating to me because there weren't a lot of chances to get an event token and even when they did come along, I didn't win any.

That said, I don't think you should get a dot unless you unlock all the tokens in that level range. There's a lot of tokens that aren't that hard to get and if someone wants to skip them all, they shouldn't get a completionist award. I just wish there was a way to make a few exceptions (event tokens, Token Whore, and possibly OMGWTFT0K3N) because those are just unrealistic for most people to get.

After some thought, I think adding a ring around the existing dot would be the best way to differentiate the two levels of clear flag. Single dot for just public songs, dot with ring for *all* songs.
