Veteran Status

So, I know that this has probably been answered 9 million times, but I've scrolled through 7 pages of forum threads and haven't found an answer:

What is veteran status? What does it do?

I ask, because I took a very, very long break from FFR (site being down and all didn't help), and when I came back, I started a brand new account, so that I could get new stats and stuff. But I'll bet my old account qualifies as "veteran". Is it worth the bother to try to acquire?

I think so. The engine for vet's is awesome, it's all I use to play the game.

There's a different engine?

I found the REQUIREMENTS to be a veteran pretty easily. It's the benefits that I can't seem to find a link to.

Well, the benefits are: Beta engine, top average players list, beta level reader, vet forum section, credit transactions page, blue name, and I think more saved replays, though on that one, I'm not sure.

Ah well. Just checked my old account. Nowhere near 3 mil points, so... yeah. I'll stick with this account, and not bother the admins.

Thanks 00Razor00! That's what I was looking for. Would be nice... but not worth going back to my old account. I mean, have you ever seen a more awesome name than this?

And thank you ksl33zy24. I shall endeavor. I fear I may be too old. Something about dexterity and hand eye coordination peaking at age 15 or so. And 15 was a LONG time ago.

The first 3 bil is by far the hardest to get since most people will start off on easy songs that give less points. As you get better though you'll get at least an average of at least 1 mil points per song.

Re: Veteran Status

Heh. Even at my peak, which was when I was practicing for the first ever FFR official tourney (summer of '07), I was still barely FC'ing VD's. And I couldn't even AAA a Standard. But there's fun to be had at all talent levels.

What I really like about this game is watching myself get better with practice. Incremental improvement and all.
