Another entry in the "oni gets that give Igot the middle finger" hit parade. I was impressed with holding the AAA as long as I did...usually it doesn't last half that many notes.

(this is my new best on an oni get, by the way: I have 4 clean on BB Evo and 4-0-0-1 on Starwolf, 3020, DSoK and Kyrie)

You might wanna try Midnight Dragon or October or Last Battle Festival. Those are the ones I've had the most success with. LBF is long but laughably easy. You just need that 6 minute consistency X_X

You know what song I hear recommended for Oni a lot? Battle Theme #37.

Personally, I find the chart to be derpy as shit, but considering your scores on Church Bells, Kyrie, and 3020 (4-0-0-1 is FILTHY good), it might be more your style.

I'm wondering if you guys are interested enough to play FFR live in front of classmates etc. I think it would be a cool way to spread word of FFR the game to attract more players.

Of course, give the players a shot if they ask to try it, and you should also encourage them to play -- I did this and gave an easy file but they failed halfway through the song, but still be positive! They do realize that stuff like what was played in this video is pretty damn hard, and they have something to work towards.

Did you also ask them if they wanted to give the game a shot? (with an easier file obviously)

I did this a few times and I gave easy files, most of them couldn't even pass files with slow 8th notes but hey I stayed positive and they were still happy.

It's cool to be able to show them that you can play higher level files, but it's also good to show that the game isn't just about that !_!

On a side note, not all reactions I receive are like this; some are like "go play Guitar Hero it's way more fun" and then there's always the no life comments, so it's important to ask them if they want to give it a shot.

@dossar I do play every day at lunch at my school. Unfortunately, people do not come up to me and try to talk to me about the game. I try to spread FFR as best as I can ie. using my ffr t-shirt and such. That is a good idea because we are always in need of new members.

I try and make every single one of my friends interested in this game but all my friends are just not into rhythm games like I am. I got a few people to join the site but they all stopped playing. this was the closest I got somebody to keep playing, worked kind of well since he had like 50 aaa's xD

What's even funnier is that my teachers thought I was "hacking".... all I did was access the flash standalone downlink link from my zebulonhollus.zxq.net site and then use the indeed engine link or dossar engine.

I didn't discover FFR until I was in college, but when I did, I got at least one person interested enough that they set up a camcorder and filmed me flailing away at Gradeus back in the avmiss era. Ended up getting something like 650K on that run; I distinctly remember it was my PR2 at the time. More often, I get people asking me to stop tapping so hard. <<

Though there was that one time my brother had a friend of his over, and he said he liked Final Fantasy and played FFR once before, so I decided to show him FFLBF..."see how many themes you recognize." Then I get my 14-0-0-2 run right in front of the kid.

Wow, I actually AAA'd this one. I remember being so pissed off at this song because, like a few of the other songs w/ backgrounds (i.e. Delirium, FotBB), it would keep lagging most of the time and I would fail out. Only after I changed my FFR graphics quality to low did those songs run smoothly.






Little by little, I am improving on this song.
