Wisest would have been halfway decent if the ending didn't exist. A lot of mod transitions are absolutely atrocious too (i.e. arrows disappear before you can even see what they are).

With the literally 100's of lines to make the health bar bounce to the beat and the receptors turn to the sound of the music, I thought it was pretty neat that you see the first 2 fade out and then come back as the music picks up intensity (also due to the health bar thing, failing in the intro is impossible). Oh well, lol ;D The ending was part of being told that the file could be a complete joke. Was an april fools thing after all ;)

Glad some people like it, the whole thing was a trial run at stacking mods and such. weee~

The modifier stacking wasn't too bad. It just needed some tweaks in terms of transition timing. The beginning of the song was really neat, I'll give you that, haha.

I'm actually working through tightening it up at the moment as the file will be staying as an extra event token once the april fools week contest comes to a close. Glad you liked the file (aside from the spinning beatmania wall) ;D

I'd be honest the file's actually pretty fun, but like AJ said there are some really bad mod transitions and give me and other people too little time to read.

I can't play FFR anymore anyways... super terrible at it now.

LWII is 220bpm, the frames get a pretty clean conversion on that (only 5bpm under from having 2 frame gaps between all 16th notes)

I guess it's just the transition from playing SM for so long and then randomly deciding to play FFR. I can't even play this game anymore because of that. Framers and timing feel really awkward in general to me because of playing nothing but SM.

haha for what its worth you seem pretty close to me in SM. there's a bunch of technical reasons why i suck at FFR comparatively (based on a replay analysis i split most jumps, even quarter notes and stuff and i'm not sure if it's my laptop or me lol; i also ghost goods and boos all the time + lag spikes = have a hard time AAA'ing just about anything). and yeah it's really hard to read ;_;

but mostly i'm guessing it's just what trog said and it's possible with a whole lot of practice i could get up to par in this game too ~_~

Puppet, I'd say you (and several other people that mainly play SM) have a bad habit of hitting jumps as gallops in order to abuse chord cohesion, which is something FFR doesn't have.

Nothing you can't re-learn, I suppose; new key setups take, what, a couple of days?

Also, **** this song. I don't know what it is with IDM that makes all charts for it seem like the next category up in difficulty to me.

Half of the bells and whistles that make this file Middie's definition of fun are absent from the legacy engine, I realized just now. The result: Better PA and mashability. This file still manages to really test your knowledge of stepping theory when the blinks set in. (Also, turns out the red orbular tornado part is a down-up trill. Still can't figure out when to come into that, though, and the ending still wrecks me.)

With double setup it's mainly a matter of memorizing the zero frames and managing some awkward transitions, but still a really fucking ludicrous AAA though wow (at that point I'd be worrying about boos, not goods)

Then again it's not surprising since a long time ago you got like 1 good on Hakulyte's isolation file or something like that; I'd like to see what you can get normally as well

edit: Dossar lmfaoooooooooooooooo you have no idea, I spent a good 10 minutes coming up with a strategy for attacking each section using qqwref's p4u pic with the 0 framers before even attempting a run at it

I could've sworn I was hovering around 20s, maybe that was best PA on a non-FC run (1 or 2 misses at most)

And I had to dig up my old Centrios, the keys are ridiculously sensitive. I stagger jumped the shift key with my middle/ring fingers making sure they hit on opposite ends and 80+% of the time, they'd register. But there were quite a few runs where I'd do it too fast or not far apart enough on the key itself and both inputs wouldn't register, derp.
