Always do.

I actually fell to peer pressure last week and gave 2 handed spread a try. Can't freakin' do doubles half as fast as I do them with 1 hand. Gave up.

Been playing 1 handed since I started on the site.

spread takes some getting used to, but it's way more fun in the long run :)

Well since you play piano, your trilling will be really good. Switch to spread if you can :]

I don't play a lot of pieces that require trilling so my trills are pretty bad atm.

Nope. Should I lol?

I play with default speed.

with a higher speed mod, there are larger gaps between notes, and it is much easier to distinguish between/read patterns, and reduce clutter - especially on more note-heavy songs.

It may seem uncomfortable at first, but it will pay off and you will become a better player very quickly. Try upping your speed mod to 1.25x, play on that until you are comfortable, then 1.5x and fianlly 1.75x. (anything above that is not as efficient enough to read with FFR's 30FPS)

I've actually gotten used to deciphering clutters. The only thing limiting me now is the speed at which 3 fingers can do something.

I've even developed techniques where my fingers move to different keys to make it faster and all. Reading really isn't a problem.

I think you'd be surprised how much your accuracy will improve if you increase your speedmod a bit (once you get used to it anyway). Even though I can read speedmods somewhat far away from the one I normally use, I have terrible accuracy with them. So it's worth a try, at least.

I've tried 2x before. It only gives me less time to know what I'm about to do. My accuracy is only bad because going that fast with 1 hand sometimes the fingers have a hard time coming back in place on time lol

Re: 1-hand bossing

The 'increase your speedmod' advice works best for spread, for one-handed you're more likely to be dexterity-bound than readability-bound

Re: 1-hand bossing

Try 1.5 that might work a bit better if 2 is too fast. lol
I personally play on 2.05. :P

Rofl, going from 1.0x to 2.0x is just... Wtf. 1.25 is a good idea. :3

jumping from 1x to 2x is actually a terrible jump to do haha
really try upping it to maybe like 1.25 and getting used to that first before going to like 1.5 or somethihng

Edit: rofl double ninja'd

Re: 1-hand bossing

2x is too fast for me even lol. I'm sure I could get used to it if I wanted to, but I'm fine at 1.75.
