I've gotten 104 misses during the course of the tourney,
1 miss is equal to 2.4 goods so that comes out to 249.6 goods,
Each good is equal to 25 points loss from raw scoring since they could have been perfects, so 249.6 goods is equal to 6240 points loss.
In conclusion, I would have gotten 3rd place (and supped Zak) had I FC'ed the songs with the same PA. >.<

Also noticed that I would have won D3a in cumulative scoring had I been placed there, looks like you guys got lucky. ;P

Forced miss-meme is forced =/

And I wouldn't consider hi19hi19's judgement as luck.

Well alright, nvm then, it's just me.

Anyways, I woke up and gave it a try. While I'm not warmed up, it's discouraging.

Zek, I'm assuring you I'll be attempting to improve tonight providing my Wifi doesn't decide to take another break on me.

I wasn't trying to force any meme, I was just trying to say how my inability to hit all the notes cost me a place in the tourney (as Middie said, I'll be too busy missing xD). Although I wouldn't be surprised, (and I would almost expect), people to make humorous posts and post a "UMISSBRO" meme; although that wasn't the goal of my post.

I only made the comment towards D3A since hi19 had originally planned to put me there. Looking at my early round scores, I was a pretty fair contender for the most part, it's mostly my the late round scores that secured the win. It's mostly my ability to read and decently PA higher-level files that landed me in D4 (which also explains why I'm currently decimating Zak and Middie in these late rounds <3)

more people need freedom dive so they can mp with me =D (so I won't be an ass and sup you lol)

probably would take a lot of time to do anyways..

I just realize that I would have won D3A if I was put there.
My sightread score on Emerald Sword Oni was 153545, which gives me 561145 points.
Without that last song, I would place 4th.

Man this sucks :( I have no doubt I could contend for the win, but I simply can't play. My fiancé has been here since last week and I just can't in my right mind spend the 30 plus minutes playing FFR. So I played it once a few nights ago after no warmup and a 5 day layoff and here is my score. I am very sad :( I really wanted Freedom Dive

Noticed that in order to get 3rd place, I'd practically have to AAA the final song. Good game D4b, it was fun. xD

This is the main reason I hate cumulative scoring so much. It annoys me that I can go through an entire tournament really well and then one song can come along and drop me all the way to 4th, which is what I would get if you guys and radiantvibe were in our division. It kinds of end up being due to the fact that the early round scores are so close in scores, but the late round scores usually aren't, that the early round scores don't end up mattering at all, and those are the rounds where the songs that fall within my skillset usually end up being the ones we play.

So basically I really prefer tournament scoring, and I'm really really thankful Hi19 decided to do 3 types of scoring, partially because it really made the benefits and downsides of the types of scoring more apparent to me, but mostly because I had a chance to not get murdered after completely failing a song, which in this kind of tournament was a godsend.

Calculated some tournament points.

D5C:
- plan_b: 5814
- bballa: 5668
- ymia: 5407
- ninty: 5360
- icyworld: 5232
- justin: 4621

d5c:
- tidus: 6700
- elite ninja: 5779
- findarian: 5770
- hi19: 5643
- flipsta: 4997

d4a:
- sanzath: 6539
- qqwref: 5111
- megamon: 5109
- MrPreggers: 5104
- sticklydude: 4995
- wc: 4045
- (Poison-: 4080, plus two missing rounds)

Note that these are all subject to change as the round goes on - plus, my counting may differ from hi19's. For instance, if the top two people were tied, I gave 1000/1000/810/729/etc. (that is, 1st/1st/3rd/4th/etc.).

I like tourney points because it keeps it more competitive, I wish there was some way to have, whoever improved the most won their division, but I can't even begin to think of how that would work lol

honestly, having all three scoring types is the best scoring type imo. Next time you do a tourney please do all of them again =)

I've been considering this. I'm not sure how Devonin is doing things in his tournament because I'd like to hear what he has to say.

Let's say 3 people AAA and one person booflags.
Which would you guys think is more fair/which would you prefer me to use-
1000/1000/1000/729
or
1000/1000/1000/900

Already I think cumulative scoring rewards whoever improved the most.
Besides, such a system would encourage sandbagging even stronger, something we don't want.

I actually plan on asking people which scoring type(s) they prefer most once the tournament is over.
Don't respond yet though, need to finish the tournament and get the final results before people make their final decisions :P

I think 1000/1000/1000/900 is more fair, but it should be done 1000/1000/1000/729

?_?

I think I get what you're saying...
Okay let me re-ask this, which one would you prefer me to use in this tournament?
lmfao

Poison-, y u no post scores? ;-;

Also, I'd go with 1000/1000/1000/900.

Re: hi19hi19's Delicious Custom Theme Tournament

1000/1000/1000/729

Ex :
There's 4 people in the division, on the first few hours the round has been posted :
Person 1 has a AAA
Person 2 has a blackflag
Person 3 has a booflag
Person 4 has 4 goods.
At this point it should go like this 1000-900-810-729

Few hours before the end of the round, Person 2 and 3 get an AAA. And Person 4 can't get a better score.
Persons 1-2-3 have a AAA so 1000 points each
Person 4 shouldn't get 900 solely on the reason Person 2 and 3 did better. He should stay at 729 points.

Sorry if that made you feel bad :<
I'm glad you're at least able to read most of the file and enjoy it, though.

Well like i've mentioned to you before, radiant and winrar haven't skillboosted as much as u think. They easily should have been placed in D3 just based on the fact that they were getting better scores then most people in d3b as well as d3a. I'm sure if winrar actually tried his best since the start of the tourney, he could have easily aaa'ed the first 3 round songs as radiant did(or at least score better then a weaker player, myself). I've skillboosted alot too, that's why i can somewhat read the final song, but i still have trouble reading fmos and high-vcs, let alone score remotely close to d3-level players on higher difficulty charts. Also, the final scores i've posted for each round are my absolute best scores i could achieve at the time.

On that note, I really like the final song, it's pretty challenging for me, i got lucky with a 138300 score, i tried to improve today and i can barely get sub 60g with 4-5ms, gg Radiant and Winrar. It was an interesting tourney
