Halo 4

Actually, what games have you picked up recently? I know I'm not broke yet! :D
I got Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4 (which comes out Tuesday), and Medal of Honor. Just ordered the LE Xbox after waiting for the price to go down more! Trading in my old xbox, controllers and stuff for the headsets. headsets |
Re: Halo 4
I probably will get the game on Christmas. Speaking of Halo 4, there's an MLG tournament for it starting tomorrow at 10 am CST in case anyone's interested.

Re: Halo 4
A lot of the people I've talked to about the game just gushed about the graphics and gave no details about gameplay. So how different is it?

The engine seems a little different than Reach, but much the same in the movement of the player, the fighting (seems fast paced), and multiplayer feel. There is NO competitive ranking as of yet, and seeing as they seem to want to keep it as vanilla as Reach was, they probably won't have any. For some reason, the theater doesn't seem to allow saving films yet either, but I read this will not be for long (and apparently they will have the storage not be local? not sure). The weapons are totally different IMO, and the gameplay is not as lobsided as Reach was initially. Players have an equal chance of getting really powerful weapons, which seems to be the only problem, which is that a lot of the weapons that arent default loadouts (Oh yeah, the weapon system is pretty much a COD clone in that you can set up classes) are are OP. That being said, these weapons are generally not on the maps by default, but rather they give you 3 random options after a certain amount of kills to receive "ordinance" (care package copy from COD). The fact that all players have this chance not only makes certain plays slightly annoying, as in skill plays aren't as relevant if too many people are carrying OP weaps, but it actually helps balance out the previous problem in Halo 3: GRAB ****ING SNIPE AND ROCKS AND YOU'RE DONE. Also, the powerups work similarly in Halo Reach, for you can choose a class (default or one you set up) and pick powerups you unlock and pay for with spartan points, which are received through play. OH, and sprint is no longer a powerup, its included always, which again helps balance out the OP weaps problem. Blurb on weapons: Sniping is a bit difficult to get used to while scoped in. I had countless no scopes in game so far, though. They have the DMR and the BR, and the BR when shooting seems difficult to pinpoint if you are hitting your target enough, because the shield will never flash as bright when hitting all 3 shots from a burst on your enemy as if you were shooting 1 DMR shot (BTW, BR>DMR, but DMR is easier to land all shots). Ordinance weapons, again, OP, for instance the scattergun, which is like a tri beam laser shotgun that shoots further than a traditional shotgun. Most of the other ordinance weapons make lots of explosions, but they run out of ammo fast and are not as annoying if they aren't dumped on one team. The map layouts seem pretty fair and despite their large size, fights seem to break out in even the most tucked away places. Playlists: no team snipers or doubles yet. we are waiting, 343. sorry, no tl;dr here. |
Re: Halo 4
I'll probably play it eventually. My brother might have gotten it so I'll need to go home.

Re: Halo 4

Re: Halo 4
Between this and Borderlands 2, I'm never leaving my home again aside from school.

Re: Halo 4
BR+Vision+Shielding/Dex is cheating.
Oh yea, I remember why I hate online shooters. I have to carry every single game. |
Re: Halo 4

Re: Halo 4
Well its true that you have a lot of kills but it doesn' show the deaths. I merit true skill on someones kill/death in a match because if they got a bunch of kills but also died a bunch it kinda just equals out.

Re: Halo 4
Having a good K/D ratio does not make someone good at the game at all. Halo is a team game (for the most part) and being a good support player can be better than being the best slayer at times.
Also, add me if you want to play as well. GT: XLZ Poison |

Typically to all a matter of chance. Also support has a great deal to do with the game. I myself being on a semi-pro team as support and coordinator in H3 before Reach came out. When we played Team Carbon and beat them in CTF by one flag cap was not just because of our tank but serious team work and gang ups until we were sure we could handle them and the flag. |
Re: Halo 4
I think that everyone who plays FFR should have "FFR" as their service tag to let people know that you play the game.

Re: Halo 4
unless you dont want to be associated with ffr
