A 'for beginners' song gone hard...

i have a crazy idea that no one wants to do unless theyve AAA'd something hard and/or have some free time on their hands.

take a 'for beginners' song (like Mario remixed) and play it...without looking! in otherwords, u might as well memorize it. it should be pretty eazy. after all, its just following the beat...right?

Uhh yea how about no? Memorizing is piss easy but remembering when to hit the arrows and shit too hard.

I've seen people play ddr with thier backs to the machine, so memorizing a ffr song and hitting the notes shouldnt be too hard for some people.

those guys are gay and have no lives or actual skills
Even though I've done it to show off sometimes lol XD

playing DDR with your back facing the machine is much different as FFR. In ddr you play a song often enough your legs just seem to remember where to go before you do, FFR its harder to remember due to using your fingers, not your body memerizing.

Ive played facing away from ddr machines too. Not too hard on most songs.

I think someone shoudl take some of the super easy songs and make a more difficult version of them. Like i like the mario and zelda songs... but they are just too easy. And someone please fix the megaman 2 songs. Its so horribly offbeat.

Yea... I do that to show off at the mall sometimes too........................... I also try to throw in as many body rotations as possible, just to look cool...

playing the arrows on hidden is the same as memorizing it........its fun playing hidden, dark

I can do fade in on 1x speed.

unprodicalgirl 12-23-2003 12:18 PM

hey I'm not good or anything, but it's really easy not to look at the screen at the mall because the arrows on the floor light up, which is the way I play, rather then looking at the screen.

drummerboy765 12-23-2003 01:11 PM

that is sorta stupid, so you are looking at your feet the whole time........i bet you get a bunch of goods, and greats..........

Anticrombie0909 12-23-2003 05:55 PM

FFR and SM you also have to be a lot more onbeat then in DDR, and DDR is a lot slower. Plus there are far less arrows on a DDR song.d

Takisho 12-23-2003 06:33 PM

No way in hell you could play that way on heavy...

In any case, the different arrow directions were made for the purpose of increasing the difficulty of otherwise easy songs.

I've seen a guy play Legend of Max Heavy facing backwards at a DDR tournament (WSU3 in Ohio) once. He got an A on it, too. I swear I am not making this up. Nestlekwik was there, too.
