Welcome to the wonderful world we know as FFR! Being a newcomer to the forums can be quite intimidating and we understand that. This guide has been created for you for multiple reasons: to help find some of the threads you will probably use the most while getting accustomed to our site, as well as give you an introduction to our staff so you know who to look to if you ever need some assistance.

Introduction Thread - Come and say hello here. Great place to start out.
Rules - Please be sure to read over the rules here.
Updated FAQ - You should be able to find all the answers to your questions here. It is a bit large, so if you're looking for something in particular, use Ctrl+F to search the thread.
Bug Thread - Found a bug while on our site? Put it in this thread here.
Standalone Guide - If you have trouble running the game on your browser, check out this guide to help you set up FFR's game with a standalone Flash Player for better results.
Picture Dictionary - What the heck is a trill? Look here to get used to all the lingo used here on FFR.
Multiplayer - FFR's multiplayer can be quite intimidating. A guide with images and thorough descriptions has been made to help acclimate our newer users.
Suggestions - Have a suggestion for us? Post it here.
Permissions thread - Want to know if we have permission from your favorite artist? Check this thread to see all of the artists that have given FFR permission to use for game content.
Queue/Batch discussion thread - Want to see what songs are in line to be released in game? This thread is for you.


FFR Staff

Anyone with a red or green colored user name on the forums is a staff member. Someone with a red name is an administrator, and someone with a green name is a moderator. We also have a few members that don't have a special color. You can find categories of our current staff members here.

Here's a little introduction to staff:

General Administration

Synthlight - The man who started it all; he is the site owner. He takes care of the server and hardware related jobs here.
Sprite- - A long time member of FFR who rose through the ranks, going from a regular user, to a moderator, and now is one of our site administrators. He is the community administrator, as well as a site development assistant. He is the go-to guy if you need something like a password reset on your account, have a problem with someone in staff, need a score fixed, or have pretty much any other account related problem.
jimerax - Another long time member that was a moderator and is moving on up. jimerax is responsible for game content. He's the go to guy if you have questions about in-game song difficulties, file submission, simfile events, and any questions pertaining game content.


Development Administration

These are the guys working behind the scenes on new features for the site/game. They'll keep you posted on progress for new things to come on FFR.

You can come to anyone on this list if you have an issue with another user on the forum, on your profile. or in Profile Chat. They would also be more than happy to help with any questions you have. :)

Profile/Chat/MP Moderators

Some moderators around the site have a lighter green name. These are our chat moderators. You'll notice under their names if they're a profile, multiplayer or video chat moderator. Profile moderators can also help with profile related issues.

Awesome idea. This sort of thing was definitely needed.

Also, I thought I'd suggest those two things:

- When you create a new account, I believe you get a PM from Synth. How about a link to this thread gets added so that new users can find it easily?
- Minor suggestion obviously as I doubt many new users will be interested in stepping right away, but a link to this guide might be pertinent. :)

I actually suggested the 1st thing before I made this ;) so hopefully someone will add this to that PM.

And I had considered stepping guide stuff, but then figured that may not be something we want to include in a guide for someone brand new. But I'll see what others think and certainly keep it in mind ^_^ (Also thought that maybe a more updated guide might be better as well. But I haven't read through to see how accurate that older one is.)

Well the OP has been rewritten by the author, so it said on the last page of the thread.

As I posted in the thread, all that the tutorial's missing is some mention of DDReam in order to be complete. and maybe check out the how to send songs to FFR part if that's still accurate... :P

stepping = very important! :D
