Re: The Infinite Jukebox
it seems to work better with instrumentals
like with the Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites MP3 featured on the front page the transitions are pretty much seamless [http://labs.echonest.com/Uploader/in...DIL13AF64D4CA2] watching it loop reminds me of twitch plays pokemon, every bridge has a chance of sending you to the beginning of the song again so to hear the end of the song you have to get the RNG to decide not to take any of the offshoot paths it encounters i estimate about 1-2 hours before the jukebox plays the ending... but i'd rather not listen to the same bass drops for 1-2 hours to prove that :P edit: also the search function seems to be down? |
Re: The Infinite Jukebox
Yeah, the search function doesn't work unfortunately. But the website was down yesterday because imgur.

Re: The Infinite Jukebox
i put in hapi=>'s medley of pokemon (26 mins dance remix of gen1 and gen2) to test limits http://labs.echonest.com/Uploader/in...QOJ145DF67222B
it takes almost 5 mins to generate everything and then it stutters for another 2-3 minutes as it tries to play it don't use this with medleys it doesn't work too well :( ps. if you wanted to know what it looks like edit: VVVVVV! http://labs.echonest.com/Uploader/in...LLJ145DF67CA2E |
Re: The Infinite Jukebox
Repetitive songs will do better obviously because they have repeating patterns and their tempo stays the same.
One cool part I found that had random seamless transitions was Hajnal : http://labs.echonest.com/Uploader/in...GKZ145D2981D01 (the left section from 8 to 10 o'clock) The search function now works fine. edit : also, this is beautiful : http://labs.echonest.com/Uploader/in...ZWW145D7738580 |
