lol, alright, being a highschooler, i know all about this trend. and notice i said trend, because it is one. there is such a thing as emo music, but also emo style. tight pants, black hair, one eye covered, lip rings, we all know how it is. most people just make fun of people who talk about it NONSTOP because they like seeing how worked up you get over dumb stuff. no one else brags about their styles, so emo kids need to stfu.

at my school, people that are EMOTIONAL(also dress in black, black hair, tiight pants, weird music) are emos
theres one step away from being gothic but not quite so they get to be emo =]

I'm generally labelled as a brainy guy, music lover and soccer fanatic. You don't see me cutting myself over that.

I can label a friend of mine as a cholo, and he loves that lifestyle.

I have a friend who's obsessed with fantasy games, artwork, comics, etc. She's just fine with it, and I find it kinda cute too = 3.

I have friends that don't follow the skateboarding fashion trend, but skate like crazy. It's fun talking to them about bad bearings, mishaps, and times they broke their boards. No complaints.

My best friend is a complete nerd, but he's probably one of the funniest guys I've met. He doesn't let his nerdiness get in the way of his life.

I can probably go on and on, but the same thing applies: With so many lifestyles/trends, this may not apply to all, but y'all are the only group that either a) Mutilates themselves b) Whines like bitches when they couldn't have a care in the world c) Claim that that's not true about their lifestyle, which makes people laugh even more d) All of the above (sadly).

Are we clear now? Emo is a label. Period.

Three easy steps to take to become EMO! (for males)

1. Buy jeans from the womens section and ****ty band t-shirts.
2. Dye your hair black and Grow out one side of your bangs so your hair covers one eye. Flip your bangs often, makes sure it looks very homosexual when you do it.
OPTIONAL: Throw a little bleach and/or pink/orange in your hair at random places for extra emo points.
3. Buy a "From First to Last" CD and learn how to whine about how life is unfair.
