Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
can we still send some fixes for the november/december batch? I found some stuff I could rly improve on with one of my songs.. Including the thing hi19hi19 pointed out, about vocals ending with ''s''
I take it will still take at least a month for the september/october batch to be judged, I understand it might take a bit of extra work to put fixes in the locked batch, but considering the late batch notes I'd say it's only fair.. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Just read the OP.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Sent in Garakuta Doll Play to the January - February batch. With this, I only hope I've learned enough to make a file that's playable by this point.
Is it strange to get chart ideas stuck in your head for songs you don't even like? |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Well if you're unsure, why not ask around to have some people playtest your submission?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
While in most cases I'd do that as common practice, this is one situation where I actually want to see how my file does before any outside influence comes into play. I'm wanting to see how my level of quality in a file compares to the superb files FFR gets, and see how much of a gap there is. (I'm expecting a major gap, honestly... and Garakuta may not have been the best choice for such a thing.) Call me an idiot, but I want to shock myself into seeing how little I know, and what areas I need to improve in most.
Also, shoutouts to my critic who helped me along on Don't Think, Feel: you're a god. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
So ... Yeah. Sorry about this. I shouldn't have said that fixes for closed batches aren't allowed. We should be striving for quality here, so letting steppers send in fixes up to when judging them is about to start is better for everyone. For making sure fixes go where they are supposed to, it'll help to mention what batch your fixes are for in the e-mail.
I'll use red text in the OP for when batches are under judgment and no longer accepting fixes. Because there hasn't been much movement on judging the September-October batch yet, I'm opening it up for fixes. Files can only be exchanged or added when the batch is open, so this is just fixes for what's already here. Fixes for the September-October batch will be open until March 2nd at 23:59:59. Send them to regularffrsubmissions@gmail.com This does mean that fixes for the November-December batch are open, too, and they won't be closing for a while. Sorry again for the inconvenience of having closed fixes in the first place and only giving a few days to send them in. But in case anyone's rushing to send files in before the end of February, you get an extra fourth day to send in fixes. I'll give three-day warnings in here for when fixes close and judging opens. Still intend to finish those files as soon as possible, of course. The two new files are pretty hard :P I did finish Oprah Shmup (it's exactly what you expect) and my secret marathon, excited for those. Sending stuff now! |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
I sent a V2 for Freedom Dive in. Got an idea when I was playing the Cytus file for it that made a fun, simplified file.
I find it really fun, so we'll see. :D |
