Recommend me headphones

Any price range will do (if im going to take the time to get quality headphones, i will put in the money).

I plan on using them on trips, for homework away from my home sound system, golf practice, and such ect.

Edit: Need new headphones because i broke my Sony MDR-V8 for digital headphones sadface.jpg

I'm assuming we're solely talking about circumaural/supra-aural headphones and not earbuds and IEMs (In-ear monitors).
Looking at the description, you aren't going to be in a noise-free environment so you're down to closed headphones.
Since they're mostly used on the go, you want a pretty efficient headphone (Unless you want to spend extra money and carry a portable rig).
Personally, I haven't listened to the V8s, but I'm assuming it's similar to the V6 with a spike around the low to mid treble.

What do you want your headphones to sound like?
I know it's kind of ambiguous, but if you can explain your desired sound even a tad bit, it'd be easier to choose the right headphone.

I personally use the Sennheiser HD25-1 ii with my portable rig (Cowon J3 to JDS Labs C421 w/ OPA2227 to HD25) and it sounds really engaging.
Punchy bass, aggressive mids, and sparkly highs without too much sibilance. It also blocks outside noise very well, almost like IEMs.
The only gripe is that it's supra-aural (rests on your ear) so it may be discomforting after a long listening session.
