I loved everyone's reaction, and I'm so happy to see the remastered hi19-samurai collab debut on FFR at last. Our "love letter" to D8 <3

bouncing off what hi19 said: I think I dumped goods every run I did of the roll section back in like 2013 (there's a big reason why but some will notice it themselves!). Yes, it is by design meant to be mindblocked, so anyone wanting to optimize the other sections will have to endure those two roll sections again and again ;) hoping to see a AAA on this in the near future!

Welp, it was fun while it lasted, but alas, I will be eliminated. I was super close, but every run was effectively ruined.

I'll get the token(s) in the future by obtaining 1 billion in a day.

Turning the "Show Health" option on while playing D8 songs because it's fun to watch the bar go up and down

I imagine that it might be helpful to play the file on mostly iso the first few days - you can learn the patterns without having to play the horrendously cancer intro again and again and again and again

Underperformed a lot, couldn't make it through the middle round chokepoint before the songs got hard. Just not cut out for extreme acc, especially in punishing mid-SDG or die. Unfortunate but it happens, gl to the rest of the D67 players

just coming in here to say the first quarter of the hard shit in Bolt Thrower can fuck right off

i'd love to get to the 32nd wall marking the halfway point with less than 6 misses

... fairly certain I can improve from where I am now with a better first half; second half didn't go perfect this run but it went acceptably well. don't feel safe with this at all.

So happy to finally get Top 8 in my sixth tournament. I’ve been wanting to unlock vrofl for a while and dedicated so much time and practise this tourney to unlocking the token.
It’s incredibly fortunate too as this Friday, I actually dislocated my ring finger. I got it put back into place but I’ve got it strapped to my middle finger. I’ve managed to get a score but I feel like I’ll probably be eliminated this round as I’m inhibited. It’s a shame but I’m super happy to have finally obtained vrofl.

Strangeprogram v0 has been unlocked for anyone who already had VROFL. If you didn't have VROFL you received a PM asking which you'd like and I'll unlock asap as they're answered.

I'm more surprised at how Strangeprogram v0 can only be unlocked with top 8 in OT while Vertex Beta vROFL also have 1bil/1day and 50bil gt requirement.

Because this was the first tournament strangeprogram was introduced into and gave those who already had VROFL an option to actually get something for their top 8. I don't see the issue here. Plus VROFL has other ways to be unlocked and has been used in other tournaments. It's not been a top 8 exclusive for some time.


VROFL used to ONLY be a top 8 token. After so long we finally gave it other req's. Now VROFL will be phased out of the top 8 token and be used for other events as well as it's current grandtotal option.

We already have a top 16 token and no, that makes no sense. A good chunk of people have VROFL, the point was to introduce something new into the top 8. VROFL won't be part of it next OT.

Can someone check FMAP to see if High-Priestess has the correct notecount listed? FCs are habitually not recording and I'm thinking the number listed there is smaller than it should be.

Rushy fixed the TCG unwrapper not to pull Difficulty 0 public songs, but it would be nice to have the Round 5 songs in the pool. I'm also really curious about what difficulty Extratone Firestorm will be given lol

Also there was like 3 confirmed versions. the OG SM one, the "updated" version for regular FFR batch which was rejected (vaguely remember Silvuh's notes saying it was too hard), and then hi19 approached me about the chart and mentioned to him I was already making changes in my free time and we basically put our deep inner hate and rage into the one that's on FFR now.

I legit couldn't stop laughing at "OH THAT ONE FRAMER NOOOOO"

first full play plagued with random locks and misses aaaaaaa

edit: had a few okay runs through the first half but i was hurting pretty terribly in the second half

playing lighter minimized the pain but severely killed my accuracy and putting more effort into it just made the pain nearly unbearable so it's best if i just leave it there without making anything worse!
