I've been recently getting popups when I open Chrome that says "Flash will no longer be supported after 2020" with a big "Turn off" button

I get that too, but I have to use it for terribly coded websites sadly. I wonder what will happen with mandatory training when it's still making you watch videos in flash come 2020 lmfao

fyi, with regard to FFR.
If no action were to be taken by us, only the browser game-play would be lost.
Air is safe, for now.

It's still gonna be a sad day for a lot of people who adored flash for all it was worth.

But the show must go on.

Re: Rip Flash

I don't know if this was ever suggested before but once Flash ceases to exist and Air is no longer an option for players, would FFR for mobile ever be a possibility? Mobile Mobile Revolution doesn't really have the same ring to it though :V

I'd be willing to bet that by the time Air no longer becomes an option, that we will have something in place, as that would be the true extinction event for FFR. o/

Re: Rip Flash

As of today Chrome has blocked Flash.
On Newgrounds, the upcoming (and shitty) event is known as Flash 2020

EDIT:Apparently all I had to do with go to the settings manager to set it back to ask me first.
No idea how long that will last, though.

Re: Rip Flash

Real sad really, because there are many other great Flash games aside from FFR...
Thankfully this doesnt affect nearly anything (because the browser version is a bit junk, amirite? :P)

And if you still wanna play FFR with Flash, FFR standalone baby..

The is actually a good question for staff to consider and work on now rather than react to later when it becomes broken.

Re: Rip Flash

I always wondered why even remove support. What's so bad about it now that they must remove it? Any modern site has pretty much wiped flash off the face of the earth.

I don't see why they don't keep the feature so users, who wish to access legacy sites, still be able to navigate/use said site.

Well RIP Flash.

It actually saddens me to see this. I don't see the point of removal since its necessary to run legacy sites like what Charu said. Internet nostalgia intensifies

Re: Rip Flash

pretty sure they removed it because of security issues
