Pseudo Skill Tokens ~2012 Remix~
 
Bringing back an amazing idea that's around 4 years old, the pseudo skill tokens thread. In this thread, users (like you) make up your own requirements for skill tokens and have the opportunity to give out various things as a reward. Original thread.

Any user can have or create a Pseudo Skill Token. You must do three things to make one though:

1. Create a custom image (using the token outline from existing FFR skill tokens). The center of the token must have part or all of your avatar. The image should have a transparent background, and MUST be in .png format.
2. Post the image (do not attach it), and with it, post your desired requirements. (Please Note: No two requirements can be exactly the same.)
3. (Optional) Upload a Stepmania file that was STEPPED BY YOU.. Post the link to that file in this thread. Those that get your token will be able to download the song, thus "unlocking it." If you don't have any stepmania files, you can choose something else as a reward aside from the token itself. Files can be sent to justin_ator to be uploaded to the community engine for FFR.

Rules:
1. You cannot edit any aspect of your token other than the image unless asked due to developments in the game that somehow changes your token.
2. Proof of unlocking a Pseudo Skill Token must be posted in this thread AND APPROVED before you have truly unlocked the token.
3. All token requirements must be achievable by the creator of the token (and the creator may be asked to do the requirement before approval).
4. I would strongly encourage you make your requirements achievable using the regular FFR engine only.
5. When posting unlocks for tokens, please post the number of the token you've unlocked as well as a screenshot, replay, and/or video as proof. If you intend to unlock more than one token with a single proof, please specify this in your post.
6. Do not edit your posts unless not doing so would result in a double post. Rules 5 and 6 make this thread easier to keep up to date with as few errors as possible, efficiently as possible.

Well, quite honestly what would you be doing otherwise? Handing out sm files? If you don't want to that's fine, haha.

I just thought basically it was like a "Hey, I've unlocked x Pseudo Tokens!" And most of them never had real files either...I just thought maybe we could make it slightly more legit by actually being able to host files. If not, I'm not going to push it haha, I was just tossing it out there as an idea.

Hmm, we could make it like if one person fulfills the requirement, it's unlocked for everyone and it goes on the community engine, otherwise it stays in the dark. Of course my Transformer file is already on the community engine, oh well xD

Well I mean you still would only be able to say I've unlocked 1, 3, 5, and 8, though technically you could still play all of them. It's more "bragging rights" as far as they go rather than actual rewards, if I remember the old thread correctly.

Also, can't you specify "Must be done on video"?

Edit: Like if I said AAA a 7 on diagonal scroll, that'd have to be video since replays don't show diagonal or not.

For aesthetics sake, I would highly recommend some Photoshop skills on the token ring. As well as having one person do all of the images.
Each user could send the requirements, and the picture they wish to have on the token. (With a rough draft of it)

has some great redesigns for current tokens that were never implemented.

Unless you mean a grand overhaul (for ex: abandon circle usage etc).

Great way to start this off guys. (Blunt sarcasm here.)

Here let's throw another odd ass one in here.



Requirement: SDG Hellbeat V2 with Beatmania note skin (the bars) AND the Dizzy Mod turned on. (Note: This requires a replay AND the use of the Velocity Engine.)

Once you get the hang of this one it's easy, but until you kinda get the feel for it I find this extremely difficult. Have fun accidentally splitting or not seeing the fact it's mostly jumps.

A side note is: This is the original PST image I pulled from my old Photobucket.

If I need to prove that this one is doable I can do it either later today or tomorrow depending on if I can get some sleep lol.

its not impossible, its been done by me and a couple of other people.

the highest boo count thats been obtained is 72. im sure someone like dossar can get in the mid to upper 70s if he tried

keep in mind this is done without holding the keys after the last note or using double set up. anything above 80 boos is impossible

Edit: Yeah I'm not doing very good right now on vibrating. I can't even pass Reincarnation oni right now, if I'm going to attempt breaking 72 or tying it I'd need a day like the one where I broke 180 on Reincarnation

Considering that a large amount of people have offline engines, you might be able to give out level .swfs for token files to those who actually meet the requirement.

I'm really happy to see this thread back; I have a really hard pseudo-token idea but I won't propose it yet because I want to see if it's doable.

I feel the 72+ range could so be broken if you get that quad hold boos perfectly. I had 62 off the bat of the song, from half HP (needless to say I failed out..) so all you need is a bit of luck

edit: not too sure since it was an hour ago, but I'm pretty sure it was 62.. >_>

I mean if the legacy engine had the note skins that'd be fine but the only reason this is engine specific is because of the note skin.
