FFRMania 1-120 Difficulty Scale

Trumpet63 has been hard at work experimenting with a few new tools, to see if the new extended stats for FFR can be used to calculate difficulty. So we’ve managed to predict the difficulty of all 7,000+ songs on FFRMania. His neural network uses 63 extended stats across every song on FFR, for a total of 133,497 data points.

This update should *hopefully* allow you guys to more easily find songs to play, and choose more appropriate rates for practicing. Please bear with us, as the 110-120 range contains everything from Undici to 100 NPS satire.

Enjoy! :D

I live for 100 NPS satire, so this is perfect.

My only gripe is having used the "difficulty" number to distinguish between different files for the same song but overall this is really nice

For a neural net I can say at least it tried

What features did the NN use? IIRC the extended stats included such things as note color, bpm, etc. that could potentially be manipulated.

Yeah my apologies. I uploaded a file earlier and used the .xml that was already on my computer, not the updated one. With that being said, I'd replaced the one on the server without remembering we have a new one.

Luckily Max fixed it up and didn't scold me :')

I have the updated one on my computer now and that wont happen again.

Well, everything basically:

song length
number of arrows
min nps
max nps
chord count
average nps
camel jacks
hand bias
note delays
number of jumps
number of color jumps
number of framers
most notes in x time
note color totals

There's plenty that could be manipulated.

seems like a perfect opportunity to learn why nns wont work

Re: FFRMania 1-120 Difficulty Scale

ok im being unfair with the premise of aaa based difficulty even a perfect nn would be useless
