Wait, 2700 calories is how much you're eating on a cut at ~150lbs? I don't have very much experience with cutting but that seems kind of high. Are you really active?

Anyways, you're looking shredded as usual. How much more weight are you trying to lose?

I'm on my feet 9ish hours a day.

Thanks man, I'm looking to cut down to about 147ish. Basically stage weight. Currently sitting at 154.

Re: Misc. progress thread

Suddenly 203 lbs as of this morning, which is odd because

1. I've been hovering around 206-208 for a while
2. I didn't drop the megadeuce or anything

But woo, I'll take it! It's like my body said fuck it let's warp-whistle past the next two worlds.

I did have more carbs than usual yesterday so maybe it's some water weight thing again?

Re: Misc. progress thread

I've had water weight (*just* water -- little if any glycogen involved) fluctuate by as much as 8lb in a single day. Including glycogen I've had fluctuations of as much as 12lb in a single day. Mind you, this was due in part to drugs, but it hopefully illustrates how misleading these numbers can be.

You're still losing fat though. Daily fluctuations aren't as important as weekly or biweekly results, and I know you're doing everything right in that regard.

Hit 315 deadlift for the first time yesterday :^)

Congrats! That's actually really good, 315 is a milestone

I was down to 187 but am doing a...mini bulk/refeed this week to get my strength and energy back up, since I had a god damn awful workout schedule over the last 3 weeks. Finally getting back into my normal schedule, lifts coming back into line and feeling great again, then back to cutting next week.

Birthday food and cake has also been hanging around which was another reason to do this.

Re: Misc. progress thread

200.8, wtf lol. I don't think I've been under 200 since high school.

I still feel like I look fat though, although ever since starting this new lifestyle, I've gotten a number of comments about how I've lost weight (from people who haven't seen me for a couple months), so there's that, I guess. Had to punch a new hole in my belt, and now even that is starting to get loose -- so I mean, it's working, but I guess my bf% is still high enough to where the changes aren't obvious to me yet.

For some reason my right wrist, though, is supremely fucked up since two days ago. Can't rotate it without pain. I haven't done straight-bar barbell curls in a while so I don't know what happened. Hoping it'll go away on its own and that I won't have to visit a doctor.

Dont you have carpal tunnel though? And yea my wrists kill me while squatting the way I hold the bar just fucks them over so bad.

As far as weight loss is concerned I really get to get on that bandwagon. Summers a coming. I think I've made some decent gains. Nothing like SCs one year progress though

Re: Misc. progress thread

I had wrist problems 5+ years ago when I still played Stepmania/FFR, but I haven't played much at all since, so my hands have otherwise recovered (unless this new pain is somehow related lmfao).

This new pain is just confusing as hell because it just came up randomly, and suddenly it's like "nope, no wrist rotating for you, bud." Going to the supine position is especially painful.

I play volleyball and one day out of nowhere my wrist clicked and swelled up really big... no idea what happened. never got it looked at. =/

Suspecting it may be a TFCC strain / tear, but hopefully just the former. It does seem to be healing, albeit slowly.

just curious, does doing the following motion for ~1 minute produce any sharp pain?:

It's a pretty quick and easy way to see if your pain is related to cts

Reincarnate 04-1-2015 08:28 AM

Re: Misc. progress thread

No, no sharp pain (just mild / hopefully normal discomfort from pressing my hands together like that under pressure for a minute)

Tidus810 04-1-2015 11:01 AM

Re: Misc. progress thread

Haha ok cool that's a good sign. Very unlikely that it's cts or related to the median nerve. Something else I guess. *shrug*

I have no clue what to do atm, I haven't been regularly working out since football ended and i want to get started again. I don't know if i should go with a ss/sl type routine or if my base strength is high enough for me to be looking at something else now.

Re: Misc. progress thread

SS GOMAD SS GOMAD

(in seriousness an intermediate routine would be better suited for your needs, depending on what your goals are)
