The Revitalization

Originally created by Red of ffya.org. All credit for the concept goes to her!

Greed is good. Rebalanced TWGreed: More roles, more fun, more sabotage.

14 players
3 wolves
11 humans
Possible blue roles (see below)

Cardflipping: Off
OOTC: Off
KitB: On
Human Night talk: On
No Lynch: On
No Kill: On
Twilight start

Game starts with a Twilight phase (No kills can be submitted at this time).

Humans: During Twilight and each night phase, you will submit a PM to me if you want a blue role. You will be informed of your blue role when the day phase starts, but this blue role will not take effect until the following night phase (even if your role effects day actions).

The number of blue roles that the human's request will influence the strength of the blue roles assigned. The fewer humans that choose a blue role (out of the total number of humans), the better the roles will be. The more humans that pick a role, the worse the roles will be, to the point where all negative roles can be given out if almost everyone chooses a role. These negative roles will be mystery curses.

Wolves:

Each night phase you will submit a kill to me as usual.

In addition, during twilight and each night phase, each of you will tell me if you want a special wolf role. Depending on how many special wolf roles you take, human blue roles will be strengthened. (More special wolf roles = stronger human blue roles). The strength of special wolf roles is dependent on the original number of human blue roles taken. Your special roles also do not take effect until the following night phase.

During twilight and every night phase, you may also guess the total number of human blue roles and attempt to sabotage them. If you guess correctly, you will sabotage half of the human's blue roles, and you will steal one human blue role. If you guess within +-1, you will sabotage one blue role.

Nights will last 24 hours; Days will be 48 hours.

Roles cannot be banked for later. They are active for a night/day phase and then they expire. If your role has an active component (where you have to tell me something) then that must occur at night unless it very specifically says otherwise.

Summer’s End Cheesecake Sampler

This game has no vanilla townies. Instead it has Chocolate Town (shoutouts to the people I stole this from).
Each night, Chocolate Town will select two targets: one to help and one to harm. They should help people they think are town, and harm people they think are wolves. They won’t know what action is performed each night, if any, though some data like nightkills or investigative results should help narrow it down.
Also, these actions are predetermined, not randomly determined. They’re essentially redacted parts of your role PM that will be posted on your flip.

13 players

Town (10)
1 Fridge Snooper - Each night, they learn three player names. One of those players is a Chocolate Townie who performed an action that night, and the other two are not.
9 Chocolate Town

Wolves (3)
1 Devious Psychologist - Each night, they may target a player to learn whether that player has the potential to act. Players that have the potential to act are Chocolate Townies who have not used a hidden power on this same night or previous nights.
1 Spoon Reflector - Each night, they may target a player to have that player use any action they might have that night on themself.
1 Flavor Copycat - Each night, they may either target a player to copy their power, or use the most recently copied power. Copied powers can only be used once. Copying a Chocolate Townie’s power doesn’t copy any restrictions on the power, and doesn’t inform the copycat of any such restrictions.

Day start
Phase start/end times to be voted on
48-hour days, 24-hour nights, transitioning to 24/24 if 6 or fewer players are alive
Voting stuff: KitB ON, insta ON, no-lynch ON except for days after a no-lynch, phantoms OFF, :00 good, :01 bad
Cardflips ON
Night chat OFF
OoTC OFF unless otherwise specified
Wolves have a chat they can use anytime, including pregame
The wolf kill is assigned, and they can also no-kill, but not twice in a row
Inactivity enforcement will be a thing

wait woaaaaaaah

i very nearly wrote a bsg game and then thought "what if i write a stargate game instead" bc i wasn't sure if i knew bsg well enough
then "no wait no one will know that because it has like zero cultural relevance anymore"
and then put it off for a while before writing my actual game

but what a funny coincidence it'd be if we did the same thing

I'd be very interested to see what kind of similarities and differences might exist if we were to do this

It kinda seems like a fun idea actually. Decide on a theme and have a bunch of people make a game themed around the same theme

Honestly, all three of these look really cool. So I'll hold back my votes for now and think about it some more.

tbh all the games have some completely hidden element to them

Re: TWGXXXI - Host Voting

ya i'm more concerned about people not voting on the slate at all, i usually abstain when i'm in the running or don't want to play anything on offer

was thinking about submitting an out-of-the-box setup and just didn't. idk whether it'd be easier to talk about game subs before host voting goes up or something, but it'd allow us to keep variety
