rolling my eyes at people in the comments that literally did not listen to like the main video point in: pausing is not conducive to harboring a healthy competitive rhythm game environment and immediately.

strongly agree

I know its a little bit different than anything here, but pausing basically killed any prestige any unfilmed rb3 vocals score had, and it was sad to see that happen.

I'm surprised there isn't some code in osu (at least) where if the screen is paused for longer than (x) then the score becomes invalid. Or paused in general. Good video, good argument.

I wonder how hard it would be to set up a macro that continually pauses and unpauses super fast to essentially play files on a lower rate in osu

theres a minimum 1 second(?) delay between pauses in osu so that isnt possible

The moment you hit pause in a ranked map, the score should turn unranked.

You could have a setting to change or remove the pause key so you don't slip on it or whatever.

Pretty simple stuff in theory.

Are the top leaderboard filled by people who abuse pausing ?

Are people in tournaments sometimes pausing the song to catch a break ?
If not, why is this not standardized ?

Is there some sort of pausing culture going on ?
