Your best bet is finding a Round 1 location. They usually have beatmania iidx, Sound Voltex, DDR A, and other Bemani games.

Other than Round 1, lots of conventions have arcades and many have iidx. Look for a convention that Tokyo Attack is at

At Round 1 you have to buy a card pre-loaded with credits that you swipe each time you play a game. It's usually something like 40 credits for $10, and each game is 4 credits, so you'll get about 10 games for 10 dollars. BUT they charge you sales tax on the card, so each game actually ends up being $1.14 or whatever.

And the claw/prize machines are usually either 6 or 8 credits, so $1.50 to $2 per play. These add up quick so you really wanna pick your machine wisely and only go for prizes that are already close to being won.

Dave and buster's averages 75ish cents a DDR game if you use the neverending double credit for $20 coupon

Entering the building is free, but the card is needed to swipe for a payment on the machine. The Round 1 I go to, every set on DDR is 6 credits so you might see some variance in game prices.

One thing though is make sure you bring an ID, especially if you're going at night. They serve booze at a lot of these places and some just generally don't want unaccompanied teens there.

One time they wouldn't let me into Round 1 because I didn't have my wallet, and that location was 21+ at night.

okay, thank you very much :) i always wanted to play beatmania IIDX in an actual arcade since i don't have an actual beatmania controller; i used to play beatmania on my PS2 controller which isn't the same

Yeah, echoing what others are saying, they're in every Round 1 location in the US so far. I've been able to play it myself at GLC (Auburn Hills) and can play up to 9s now.

I'm very happy that the Round1 near me is only 18 miles away (29 km).
