The reviews aren't about luck. If your file(s) happens not to pass, it's simply because it wasn't good enough. You can always rework it by reading the suggestions from the judges (who are all nice people willing to help you if you are willing to listen to them), send it at the next batch and still get accepted! no review system is complete without its own Simon Cowell

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
Ugh. My offset is wrong on my file if you judge it from SM. It works fine on DDReam though.

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
ha, no doubt at least one person so far has slammed me for including 16th bursts in mine. I think the rest of my file's pretty okay though.

its not fine on DDReam, AJ uses DDReam. The offset you mentioned on my comment wall is wrong as well. |
Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
Seriously? -1.386 doesn't work on SM for you? It's perfect on mine. -.-
EDIT: Wth? It doesn't work on DDReam either? Apparently it worked fine for Niala. Ugh, I don't know anymore. |
Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
it's really far off on DDream:
it's more than likely related to the fact that you're using a positive offset number, which is usually unnecessary. EDIT: to get the chart on sync, I had to set the offset to -0.974, which is almost 3 seconds off from what your original offset was (2.000). |
Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
Yea, It's supposed to be negative. If that's the problem, my bad.

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
Honestly, it wouldn't be all that bad of an idea. People can go from the bare basics to advanced methods; reworking it to be FFR-related wouldn't be bad.

P.s. I had worked on YMIA's file with him before he sent it in and the offset was fine before, something must have happened in the upload or something, I can't think of anything else. |
Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
I know someone knocked at least Minuet for those color notes. Also, something tells me my SoD2 got lower markies than emu's. D:
But yeah, Town Theme was absolutely meant to be a 1. Or at the worst a SUPER-LOW 2. :3 Flame on, Jeff Cowell. <3 |
Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
It depends on judge's strictness, but 18+/20 will auto-pass, 16-17/20 will go to 2nd judgement stage this time.
Even if the file gets enough points, files that are difficulty 7 or above will be auto-rejected, too long/repetitive files will be in conditional. Quote:

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open
Actually there weren't really too many long or repetitive files that I noticed. There was I think one that I mentioned being a bit too repetitive and then there was a few longer ones but not so bad that it wasn't tolerable.

Nyahh my impatience is going to kill me someday!!!1!!111!!
Though it is nice to know two judges were extremely lenient. <3 |

I just looked over my notes, I accepted a lot more than I thought I had... Probably still less than everybody else, though. P.s. Quote:
