How Do Songs Get Labeled There Level?

I'm curious

" How do songs get labeled there level?"

Cause, i feel some songs aren't level categorized correctly....

Example - The song " Welcome 2 Omnicore" is a level 41 song, however i have a hard time with it....

I play a level 50 song and its easier then the level 41 song.....

Do songs go though an algorithm that scans the chart to determine the song level?

Suggestion - Would be nice if ffr would evaluate songs like etterna does

It depends on the patterns you are comfortable with. you cant compare a 41 with trills and a 50 with JumpStream(for example). Some will feel easier or harder depending on what you are good or bad at. Try comparing a trilly 41 and a trilly 50

Song difficulties get switched frequently, you just have to bring them to attention and if they truly are wrong they will get changed by, I believe Hakulyte.

Edit: To answer your question, i believe they are done one by one by staff. I dont think we should do it like etterna at all since its fine the way it is. 99% of songs are right around where they should be.

I guess, but how come etterna is more accurate at calculating and determining the songs level then ffr? would be sweet if ffr adapted etterna's song level evaluation system.

Because this is ffr, not etterna? lol

I don't believe so, if someone is figuring out the level of a song and finds level 80 songs easy they won't be able to provide an unbiased evaluation of a song.

More accurate how ? FFR difficulties are reviewed 1 by 1 manually at the moment. I'm working on something for that.

Because he plays and compares songs by different patterns. I also feel this way sometimes but then i accept that its because some songs will play to my weaknesses or strengths and feel easier or harder depending on it. Or they could just be really long like the impresario making them appear harder even though they are clearly easy.

Dont get me wrong, would be cool to be accurate AF but im not sure thats really possible. Patterns, length, etc play a huge role in diffuiculty,

A sexy team of judges sets them then people complain if they're wrong in a forum

Idk, i just don't think anyone should evaluate songs. It should be evaluated by an algorithm or AI. Edit - So there is no bias in the evaluation

Also apparently the judges have amazing focus and barely change a songs rating due to length but maybe I'm just adhd as frick

Also there will come a time when what is easy and what's hard changes, for example try adventures of lolo or buzzards or something - it's so short and somewhat manipulateable so it's like omg this is hard but doable but then by the time you get to a point where you can consistently play 80s you'll just be like oh its just one hand trills...

I'm rambling but my point is, the judges have a pretty good understanding of how things like anchors and trills and jacks scale and change at certain speeds, you underestimate the understanding of this game top level players have, so sure they might not be 100% accurate but generally they know what they talking about

The only way i see human song level evaluation to work is if you get 10 players with different skill level from 1 to 100 come up with what the level of said song should be and then get the average from that....

Edit - even get the community involved somehow in finding the song level....

Idk, i still cant aaa lolo or buzzards.... LOL and i usually play 90+ songs

Also consider it's purely to AAA - if a song is zzz as frick for 90% and then ends with some whacky crazy shenanigans, it's just gonna be rated higher, simple as that... Maybe you fc a 50 and a 41, but usually the 50 is gonna be harder to actually fully AAA

The impresario, ;)

But yeah, 100% this. The scale is based on aaa, not fc really. Try to aaa the 41 and the 50, the 50 will MOST OF THE TIME, be harder to nail.
