Round 3 Specifics:
-The target score this Round is 8,000. Your maximum credits earned is 40,000.
-Each participant must AAA any song they choose within their specified range (from a given floor up to whatever they can AAA). The combined total Perfects from all team members will be compared against the target, and you'll receive credits based on how close you are to the target score. Each Perfect off from the target in either direction will lose you 50 credits.
-As an example, a team score of 7,990 will award your team 39,500 credits. So would a score of 8,010.
-ONLY AAA's WILL COUNT FOR SCORES!
-ALL 7 TEAMMATES MUST SUBMIT A SCORE

Specified Minimum Difficulty:
D1: Any Song
D2: 15+
D3: 35+
D4: 50+
D5: 63+
D6: 75+
D7: 85+


Round 2 Specifics:
-Each participant will compete against 2 others from their division, each with a different song. Think of it as everyone in your division being put into a circle, and you're playing the persons on your left and right.
-Raw score will be used, no tiebreakers.
-The best score in each matchup gets (1000 x Division Rank) credits. If it's a tie at the end, the credits are split.
-OVERALL BOTTOM TWO TEAMS AT THE END OF THIS ROUND ELIMINATED


Round 1 Specifics:
- You may play ANY PUBLIC SONGS you want to!
- Your PA must be at or below a 50 Goods equivalent (for reference, 1 Average is 1.8 Goods, 1 Miss is 2.4 Goods, 1 Boo is 0.2 Goods)
- A team as a whole can only have 1 qualifying score for a specific song, e.g. 2 people on the same team can't both submit a score for Pants. Only the better of the two will be taken.
-You will earn credits for your team equal to the number of Perfects/Amazings you get divided in half. Teams will also be awarded credits based as follows:

1st - 50,000
2nd - 40,000
3rd - 30,000
4th - 25,000
5th - 20,000
6th - 15,000
7th - 10,000
8th - 7,500
9th - 5,000
10th - 2,500
11th - 1,000

HOW THIS WORKS

-The tournament will consist of 8 Rounds, each Round lasting 5 days.
-Teams will be formed from 7 competitors, one from each of the standard divisions (D1 through D7)
-Each Round will be completely unique in both the objectives for your team and how exactly you're competing against the other teams. One week might have you facing off in head-to-head matches, while another will require some puzzle solving before you even begin to play! In any case, you will eventually be playing a song(s) to get a score(s).
-As you complete each Round your team will be rewarded with credits from the pool depending on both how well you perform compared to the other teams as well as your general performance overall.
-At the end of Round 3, the bottom half of competing teams will be eliminated. After Round 6, another cut will be made depending on how many teams I have enter. Likely, the last 2 Rounds will be played by a final 3.



HOW TO PARTICIPATE

If you participated in the Official you should be good to go as far as registration qualifications. If not, eligibility will be similar to the Official: 250 games played, an account not made 3 days ago, some forum posts here and there etc. There are two different ways to register:

1) Submit a team consisting of 7 members spanning all 7 divisions; Doing this will GUARANTEE you get to participate in the tournament. Whichever way you want to go about this is up to you: talk to them outside of FFR, try and organize stuff here in the thread, whatever. Try to limit asking for a roster spot on someone else's budding team to a minimum. I don't want people harassing others with 187 requests, just screw them and go make your own team that's totally better than theirs anyway.

2) Anyone that has expressed genuine interest in playing but is too lazy/too uncool to get on a premade team will be put into a pool with other people from your division. I will then draw out as many teams as I can with the pools that I have. If there's only 3 extra D7s but 43 people in D4, only 3 teams are getting made still. This is why I highly suggest you create a team on your own if at all possible.


To recap: Come to me with a team of 7, GUARANTEED to play. Just want to enter solo, MUCH smaller chance to play and lack of teammate choices.



BITTEN BY THE AFK BUG?

Obviously with this being a team tournament, everyone is going to need to do their part to be successful. And obviously as humans, some people will lose interest, want to drop out, go AFK for no reason, get murdered etc. All of these things are incredibly rude to your teammates and should be avoided if possible. If something comes up and you can't participate for some reason, I will pull a sub from your division's extra entrants pool to participate in your stead. Note too that dropping out will forfeit any opportunity to earn credits for yourself.

With such a complicated mechanism of dividing the credits and the possibility of donations, I don't have a 100% exact split decided for the different Rounds. I'll be making the splits up on the fly for the most part, with each Round getting approximately 1/8th of the total credits. As always, donations will make this tournament even more super sweet than it already is!
