A Craigslist coincidence

I go hiking every few days a few miles down a trail in my city called 'the Greenway' to fill up jugs of fresh water and get some exercise, fresh air, normally see some animals and whatnot. Anyway, I saw a wallet on the side of the trail the other night so I picked it up and it has a woman named Lauren's ID and some Visacards.
After I returned home I wrote a Craigslist ad describing the wallet on the off chance that it would be noticed by Lauren or a friend of hers.
Lauren e-mailed me earlier tonight and we're meeting at IHOP tomorrow afternoon so I can return her wallet!
Maybe she'll reward me, who knows, but being a good Samaritan is its own reward.

If it were me Lauren would be footing the bill for a brand new shiny rolex

Yes, I offered delivery but upon further correspondence we decided it would be best to meet at International House of Pancakes after my aunt and I go jogging

I have scanned Craigslist lately for activities, stuff, and jobs and nothing led me to believe a quick response like this would occur yet lo and behold. This is good news

That's a nice gesture, many people would have kept their findings. Kudos.

I dont get it. If theres an id why not just return it instead of posting it on craigslist?

I left my wallet at the mc donald's at the bottom of the hill where I live once. It's a tad weird when random people show up at your door with your wallet, especially because people these days are fucked. (Not saying Travis is, but generalizing here.)

While MAYBE posting it on craigs list was kinda silly, eh it worked and meeting in a public place is totally for the better here at the end of the day.

Good on you.

it is an out of state id, Texas 2 b exact, 1000 miles away, further exemplifying the randomness.
Frankly sk8r it didn't even cross my mind to mail it to the address listed; a sobering realization of how quirky and over-the-top I've become.
Two hours until project wallet return mission launch...

He found the wallet on a trail. She’s obviously out of state atm

Make sure you make her produce some sort of ID, sounds like a rando just wanting some visa cards

Operation return lost wallet success. Brownie points confirmed.
