Midnight's Jack-The-Ripper Tourney

Introduction

Ghosts and goblins, witches and ghouls, sparkly vampires and displays of gas prices, I am your host, Middie. I'm bringing you this fun little Halloween themed tourney, for I'm fairly bored and have wanted to run one for a while.

This is the ways you may get in touch with me, though apologies in advanced if I'm a little slow. Kids will be knocking at my door of course. I also have a Chamber of Horrors to run.

All donations till this post have been received and added to the OP, and many thanks to those who have / in the future will donate

Also, I'll get to placing people around the middle of signups. This should allow me to figure out if flights are a possibility by then.

Re: Midnight's Jack-The-Ripper Tourney

So someone brought up that they're not as fond of the df engine as I am and would like it to be just FFR songs. If you'd like it that way let me know.

It's still gonna be two per round either way

I'll let you know if the original plan changes.

Re: Midnight's Jack-The-Ripper Tourney

The old challenge to my tourneys was that I let the players pick the songs

But with that official coming up we don't have the time to do it that way

Re: Midnight's Jack-The-Ripper Tourney

I've updated the OP to here.

Take note that I have also added a new section, to save some time I will copy paste it into this post.

Difficulty Progression
I decided to make these charts a lot harder in my opinion, than what you'd normally face. The goal is to push you as players. And take it from me, this is pushing most of you extremely hard.

So I'm going to be kind and post a tentative list of where you can expect the final round difficulties to land. This will allot you time to practice. I will update this list if it shifts below or beyond this once I finalize my list.

D1: ~39
D2: ~58
D3: ~73
D4: ~77
D5: ~87
D6: ~92

Again very tentative. This will be updated as I tinker with the ffr portion of the list as I play through it all and check to see the scaling myself.

Re: Midnight's Jack-The-Ripper Tourney

Yea, I'm in for sure!

edit: after reading the rest of the posts I would prefer it to be ffr songs. Playing a 73 would be awesome in a tournament, it might even land me some delicious tier points. Mmmmmmmm, tier points. Delicous

Re: Midnight's Jack-The-Ripper Tourney

Ok if one more voices they'd prefer just straight up FFR charts and no one else argues for the df engine I'll be changing it.

Edit: Oh, and either make it all DF or all regular FFR. Mainly because some people (me) can only play on the R^2 engine now,
and switching from that to velo or legacy in a round would be extremely awkward for them (me) :-P

Hello, I am some random person who is not the jductape who you have come to know and love. With that being said, I lost my account in the deep crevices of the universe while exploring unknown realms; and I used my newfound knowledge to hack jductape's account and tell you that straight up FFR charts are the way to go.

See that's why I always purpose the option of change here. Because I don't want to mess up anyone to bad.

So with that

I'm going to change the tourney to strictly the official ffr engine.
