I can see some upsets in this thread...

Even I am most disappointed in how these games are turning out. :(

I'm actually quite pleased. 6 for 8 , potentially 7 if Nashville starts playing.

*phew* Devils barely coming out alive.

Pitts getting pooped on.

Seems like a lot of team go up early, then just lose steam. Hopefully it doesn't stay like this for too long. Although, epic comebacks are ****ing awesome.

Yeah. How many people predicted both the Kings and Flyers would win both road games to start?

Not this guy.

The Kings are a team that kinda... SHOULD win, against most opponents, given their roster. But I didn't think the Canucks would make such a no-show of it.

I'm glad Philly's ahead. There's nothing I like more than the sound of 20 million Crosby fans shutting the hell up in unison.

Actually Philly has dominated the Pens in Pittsburgh. It's not entirely surprising that they did well there. I certainly didn't expect them to win both games, though. I expect the Flyers to get my hopes up before destroying them, just like every year.

pleasantly surprised that philly is holding their own. about time they get some solid playoff performances.

canucks don't seem too electrified atm. it's like daniel sedin is carrying any sort of motivation they had

Philly is getting solid performances out of everyone except Bryzgalov. Don't get me wrong, he's had some great saves, but he should have had at least one or two of those goals in each game.

As for Vancouver, I have nothing. They need to play a more physical game, especially on the power play, and most importantly SHOOT THE BLOODY PUCK ON THE POWER PLAY! LA blocks a lot of their passes and they're not getting it towards the net. More shots = rebounds = opportunity.

True that about Philly. They play like Pitt should actually be playing.

Vancouver got the playoffs virus again apparently, inb4 the physical plays get even worse, the Sedin twins barely play anymore and Luongo chokes hard.

Vancouver had this problem last year. Their power play was nonexistent, and with D.Sedin not making the trip to LA with that blow to the head, their chances this year just went down the tubes after coming out flatter than Hamhuis in the crease...blue sweaters were everywhere in front of Luongo. I'm ashamed to have picked them now. Even on Van's second goal, Quick was in position to stop it, he just couldn't get his glove up.

Red Wings snatching home ice from the Preds after splitting the first two games in the Music City. The Joe will be going nuts, up to and including hurled cephalopods unless Nashville gives them a reason to shut up.

Flyers-Pens, oh man. First time in documented history that 13 goals were scored on a Friday the 13th. (Bit of trivia for you guys.)

Nice endgame in St. Louis. Can't wait to see how game 3 in SJ will start.

Re: NHL Playoff Predictions: 2011-12 Edition

Well that was a strange game.

Sharks only manage to score on themselves. Blues manage to take out their own goaltender.

Sharks get into penalty trouble, Blues end the game with a 5 on 3 goal.

Oh yeah and, fights fights fights everywhere. unfortunately most of them gave the Sharks the Blues as the Blues defeated the Sharks both in the game and the fights.

The Shark Tank awaits.
