Congrats man!

The only advice I can really give is have something *iconic* ready for when you're all moved in. Be it a poster, painting, some unique kind of furniture, an ornament, etc. Just something that identifies it as yours, it'll make it quicker to get used to the place

I don't know how it works in Canada land, but prepare to sign your hand off. I had to sign about 50 things. Also you're probably passed this, but have more than enough for closing costs. I had 10k saved and my costs were 8200 out of pocket.

As for advice, if the house needs anything I mean ANYTHING, simply from a paint job to a redo of a wall, go room by room and do things. Complete rooms are better than all rooms in progress.

sup dinmo, congrats on the purchase. I dunno what prices are like in ONT but I really doubt you'll have an issue sorting things out. Having a good lawyer will help a lot, and the expenses (at least for me) weren't bad at all.

Keep us posted! I was in your shoes not 2 years ago, so if you want to chew the fat about it, lemme know!

Re: i bought a house

Thanks all! <3

Inspection is on Monday so as long as thats fine it's a done deal. Thankfully there's not a whole lot to do other than decorate and the appliances need upgrading so meh

I would totally have a fiffer get together here! As long as you don't mind traveling lol, (if you've been to Toronto my place would be a 3.5 hour drive away)

I've got a spare bedroom maybe I can make that my rhythm gaming shrine and put super tacky arrow wallpaper or something lmao

Ps. @blind thankfully due to e-sigs i just had to tap a bunch of times so far ;)

Really cool! Congrats dynamo. Is it north of Toronto...? Curious if it's en route to parry sound area just since my cottage.

Re: i bought a house

@stian YES please come visit!! :}
@spenner yeah it's in that general direction, from toronto when you hit barrie you take highway 11 (instead of staying on the 400 to parry sound) and keep going north. would be awesome to hang sometime!

Ohhhhh how exciting!! I'm saving up myself for a house but we have quite a ways to save before we can start talking to realtors. (We're looking though and have a good idea of where we want to live - it's just fun to look at places!).
Take pics when everything's finalized!! :D
