sup Texas

I have a four day weekend in two weeks, due to Presidents Day and some teacher meeting for school, and I feel like going on another one of my random roadtrips.

In my entire lifetime my parents took us on 1 out of state roadtrip to Minneapolis, and that was just last summer. So... seeing as how they never go anywhere, I take vacations and trips into my own hands now. For the year of 2008 I plan to go to at least 10 different major cities in the country. Most of them are gonna be in the midwest but whatever.

I've already went to St Louis and Minneapolis myself this last month, then another couple smaller cities in Missouri. Next trip I take will be to Houston, Texas.

Why? Because I like traveling and I get bored here easily. And because I have a place to stay for free rofl

So the reason for this threads creation is to find out who lives in the Houston area so maybe we can put together a little meetup for when I go down there or something. So... anyone live around Houston?

I'll probably go to Galveston or something while I'm there

I'm in Corpus Christi, depending whats going on, I may be willing to take a small road trip...

As far as beach towns go, may I suggest Corpus Christi...South Padre Island isn't that far from CC...and we got a pretty decent aquarium.

Texas City.

Don't forget to bring your swimsuit. Schlitterbahn-Galveston Island is an year-round water park.

Yeah, make it FARTHER away from anyone else in Texas. Just because I'm in the same state doesn't mean I'm not still an eight hour drive away. Hell, if Rebirth stayed in Missouri I'd probably be closer to him than if he were in Houston.

Come to Santa Fe.
It's a nice town.

Lol don't come here.
Galveston is meh.
and don't bother going to Mall of the Mainland unless you plan on playing some DDR Extreme, that mall is crap. I'm not joking it's crap.
Baybrook mall is alright, no arcade though.

I don't know if I will come back to this thread though but, gl hf.

edit: Do make plans and go to planet zero, it would be fun i'm sure of it.
call Tsuka. or A0.

Re: sup Texas

Umm...Kemah Boardwalk has a decent game room, but has only one twin DDR machine. Main Event in Webster (which is 30 minutes from Houston) has two twin DDR machines, about four-six pool tables, a fairly large game room, bowling lanes, and a bar for those adults.

I'll see if I can pop up some possibilities over the next couple of days.

The Mall of the Mainland is a place were gang members show up at. Baybrook Mall used to have a game room 4+ years ago, but with no DDR machines.

edit:
Main Event - Webster
Schlitterbahn - Galveston Island
Kemah Boardwalk - Kemah

Shashmakito 02-4-2008 12:28 AM

Re: sup Texas

Actually Baybrook mall did have a DDR.
It was 3rd mix i believe.

That was way long ago.
Rebirth, do you plan on playing DDR/ITG/PIU?
if you do don't go to Putt-Putt or Main Event, the pads are horrible there.
Mall of the mainland has a good Extreme all songs
Kemah Boardwalk also has a nice DDR extreme but no unlocked songs.

Planet Zero has a rly nice Supernova
the Galleria has a good SN also
and the crappy gangster Almeda mall has a nice SN also

and there's a Exceed machine somewhere by Almeda mall.
supposed to be rly good.

edit: i put this thread in my favs just cause i love you

Do they have a website site?

Re: sup Texas

Actually, Tsuka mentioned Planet Zero being a nice arcade so we'll probably go there. As for any places out of the way of Houston, I don't know. See.. I'm going to Texas with one of my friends in his car (and thats if he wants to go, my entire trip is based on if he goes or not because my car isn't really safe right now) and I don't want to put any more miles on his car than I need to.

Maybe if we steal tsuka's car or something I don't know. But just expect the meetup to be in Houston
